IU Group is seeking a Accounting Specialist (m/f/d) for the The London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF). Join our UK team located in London remote Germany-wide or UK-wide.

Your tasks

• Financial Reporting: Preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable legal requirements and internal guidelines (IFRS).
• Cash Management: Monitoring liquidity, managing cash flows, and ensuring optimal utilization of financial resources.
• Cost Control: Implementation and monitoring of cost control measures to ensure budget adherence.
• Tax Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all tax regulations and timely submission of tax returns.
• Financial Analysis: Conducting financial analyses to support management in strategic decision-making.
• Audit: Coordination of internal and external audits and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
• Team Leadership: Leading and developing the finance team (2-3 employees), fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and implementation of financial strategies.

Your Profile

• Education: A completed degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a comparable qualification.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in an international environment.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of IFRS, as well as a solid understanding of UK tax legislation (VAT, corporate taxation).
• Skills: Excellent analytical skills, strong numerical aptitude, and attention to detail.
• IT Competence: Proficiency in financial software (Workday) and advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Languages: Fluent English skills, both written and spoken, are required.
