Lecturer Cyber Security (m/f/d)

IU Group is seeking a Lecturer in Cyber Security (m/f/d) for The London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF) on a permanent part-time basis (minimum 10 hours per week), with a start date of September 1, 2024. The position is based in London and includes a flexible working arrangement that combines remote work with on-site duties.

Your mission
  • You cover specific topics in the field of Cyber Security, including the following courses: Cyber Systems and Network Analysis, Cyber Security and Data Protection, Cyber Risk Assessment and Management, Current Challenges of Cyber Security (you can find more information in the course schedule:  https://res.cloudinary.com/iugroup/image/upload/v1697186318/Programme_Spec_BSc_Cyber_Security_a0mnlj.pdf).
  • You conduct live sessions, including preparation and follow-up, and answer questions on the course feed. 
  • You create media content, such as adapting scripts and crafting exam guides. 
  • You participate in committee meetings and collaborate on didactic projects for further development. 
  • You supervise and mentor students, preparing them for their professional careers. 
  • You create and grade evaluations and ensure first-class quality in our teaching materials.
     
 Your profile
  • A relevant scientific profile in the field of Cyber Security (or related fields, such as Computer Science, Information Technology or Software Engineering) complemented by a postgraduate degree. 
  • Practical experience in the relevant field and subject area. 
  • Initial experience in higher education teaching and in creating teaching materials. 
  • Strong interest in innovative and modern digital education. 
  • The ability and motivation to familiarize yourself with secondary topics in the field of Computer Science.
  • Team-oriented approach and enthusiasm for interacting with students.
